Vicar Zachariah Burgdorf

Vicar Burgdorf

Vicar Zachariah Burgdorf is a native of Round Rock, Texas and is studying for a Masters of Divinity at Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne.  Before coming to the seminary, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology. During his time at the seminary, he served Bethany Lutheran Church as a fieldworker and sang in the Kantorei, the seminaries traveling choir. In the summer of 2018, Vicar Burgdorf worked for Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr Michigan as a summer vicar, leading bible studies, preaching, and caring for God’s people.  

During his second year of studies, he met his wife Claire and in June of 2019, he and Claire were joined in the estate of Holy Matrimony.  Claire, a deaconess student, is joining him on vicarage.  Claire serves as a deaconess fieldwork student for λόγος Lutheran Church.

Vicar will serve in a number of capacities through PLM, including work at  λόγος Lutheran and outreach on the campuses of Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. He is excited to see how serving PLM will form him as he prepares for the Office of Holy Ministry, and is always willing to sit down and talk. He can be contacted here.
